Philip Santiago

Hometown: Palo Alto, CA

Major: Major: Mechanical Engineering, Minor: Computer Science

Three things I love to do at Stanford outside of class: Playing catchphrase, wrestling, asking questions

I could talk all day about: Why making friends with people who are different than you is important, exploring the outdoors with my friends through "Adventure Time," journaling and personal growth habits, flips, wrestling, questions list.

I would love to connect with guests who work in fields related to: Consulting, defense tech, startups, app development

Biosketch: Growing up in a family with diametric perspectives Philip learned to appreciate and cherish different viewpoints and personalities from an early age. He learned to listen to understand and not to reply.

At Stanford, Philip creates community through two main activities: organizing "Adventure Times" (spontaneous outdoor excursions that connect students who don't know each other) and hosting Catchphrase game sessions (his favorite party game).

When he's not studying mechanical engineering, you can find him flipping, developing mobile apps, consulting, wrestling, exercising, journaling, playing soccer, asking questions, playing guitar, snowboarding, or dancing. He values, authenticity, honesty, and optimism. Feel free to ask him about his video journal, or his impromptu interview meals with strangers—he's always ready for meaningful conversations!
