Calvin Probst
Hometown: Boise, ID
Major: Earth Systems B.S./M.A.
Three things I love to do at Stanford outside of class: Search for my next book in the Green Stacks, enjoy a morning or evening at the Climbing Wall, play spikeball on the glorious Mars lawn
I could talk all day about: the steelhead in San Francisquito creek, David Mitchell, the NYT crossword, water in the American West, Yosemite, folk rock, the importance of the movie theater,
I would love to connect with guests who work in fields related to: Anything climate/ecology/stewardship/conservation related!
Biosketch: Calvin is excited to once again be breathing mountain air! After finishing up his coterm in Environmental Communications, he's returning to Camp, following through on his passion for everything alive or green in this world. On campus, he's enjoyed tending the Muwekma native plants garden, organizing with Students for Educational Equity, and working as a docent at Jasper Ridge 'Oochamin 'Ooyakma Biological Preserve. Outside, you can find him rafting, biking, hiking, or swimming--he can't wait to do all that at Camp (when not serving lattes, docking boats, or running around)!
