Before You Arrive…

 

Airport Shuttle

Most guests who arrive via airplane take the South Tahoe Airporter from the Reno, NV airport to The Golden Nugget in South Lake Tahoe. Be sure to exit the shuttle at The Golden Nugget where a red Stanford Sierra Camp shuttle van will bring you and your family to Camp. Arrange for your shuttle pickup from The Golden Nugget to Camp with the Camp reservations staff at least two weeks prior to your arrival. Please provide us with the flight number, flight times, and number in your party. Please also let us know if your flight details change, as we arrange the shuttle based upon guest request. Departing guests are dropped off at The Golden Nugget. The arrival and departure locations allow for you to spend the least amount of time on the shuttle and more time at Camp!

 

Driving Directions

Stanford Sierra Camp is situated on the southwest shore of Fallen Leaf Lake, CA.

  • • Take interstate 80 East to Sacramento

    • Merge onto US-50 East to South Lake Tahoe – 100 miles and 2 hour drive time

    • At the second stoplight in South Lake Tahoe, stay straight to CA-89

    • Just over 3 miles (and past Camp Richardson) turn left on Fallen Leaf Road

    • Follow the road 5 miles, past the marina, to a paved bridge on the right

    • Cross over the bridge and enter Stanford Sierra Camp

    • Continue on the road to the Main Lodge and follow the “Office” signs up a small hill on the left where you’ll reach check-in

  • • Take US-395 to Carson City – approximately 31 miles

    • Take US-395 Business Route exit and continue through Carson City until you reach the turnoff to US-50

    • Veer right onto US-50 (Spooner Summit) to South Lake Tahoe for 27 miles

    • Continue through South Lake Tahoe about 12 miles

    • Turn right onto CA-89 at intersection of CA-89 & US-50

    • Just over 3 miles (and past Camp Richardson) turn left on Fallen Leaf Road

    • Follow the road 5 miles, past the marina, to a paved bridge on the right

    • Cross over the bridge and enter Stanford Sierra Camp

    • Continue on the road to the Main Lodge and follow the “Office” signs up a small hill on the left where you’ll reach check-in

  • • Take Interstate 5 North to Sacramento – merge onto Interstate 80 East

    • Merge onto US-50 East to South Lake Tahoe – 100 miles and 2 hour drive time

    • Turn left onto Hwy 50 and continue through South Lake Tahoe about 12 miles

    • Turn right onto CA-89 at intersection of CA-89 & US-50

    • Just over 3 miles (and past Camp Richardson) turn left on Fallen Leaf Road

    • Follow the road 5 miles, past the marina, to a paved bridge on the right

    • Cross over the bridge and enter Stanford Sierra Camp

    • Continue on the road to the Main Lodge and follow the “Office” signs up a small hill on the left where you’ll reach check-in
