Edie Quinn
Hometown: Eugene, OR
Major: Psychology - Minors in Spanish and Education
Position: Marmots
Three things I love to do: Looking for frogs and toads at the lake, playing ultimate frisbee, putting my arms out like an airplane when I bike
I could talk all day about: Outdoor activities, music, early childhood education, family, Trader Joe's snacks, movies (especially TAG & Pitch Perfect), herpetology, the Haas Center for Public Service
I would love to connect with guests about: Education, Outdoor Stewardship, and anything connecting the two!
Biosketch: It is of no surprise that the kid who grew up rolling in the mud and jumping in the ocean fully clothed is now setting her sights on an exhilarating second summer at Camp! Edie has always found her happy place spending time with others outside, and she can’t wait to bring that same joy to the Marmots group! After interning with a 6th grade class in Madrid during the fall, she is more than thrilled to hit the ground running with 11 & 12 year olds this summer. She continues this interest in education on campus as an Early Education Partnerships Fellow with the Haas Center’s “Preschool Counts” program. On sunny days you may find her playing guitar or beach volleyball with friends. Be warned that she has been known to trigger Apple Watch high-volume alerts as Spirit Captain of Stanford’s ultimate frisbee team, "Firefly", so don’t be surprised if the Marmots are cheering it up during capture the flag or otherwise!
