Anna Fisher Lopez
Hometown: Takoma Park, MD
Major: Physics, concentrated in physical oceanography (and a Computer Science coterm!)
Three things I love to do at Stanford outside of class: Play frisbee, meander around the lake at sunset, and play music with friends!
I could talk all day about: Ultimate frisbee, the joys of music, how our society will change as AI develops, the current political climate and how we got here, and the endless challenges and joys of being a young person in this world!
I would love to connect with guests who work in fields related to: Clean energy, AI & sustainability, climate mitigation, and the bridge between climate tech and large-scale climate action
Biosketch: Anna is a senior who grew up right outside of Washington D.C., but since coming to Stanford, the mountains, innovation, and optimism of California have moved her heart out West. At Stanford, she discovered a love for coding (super unique experience, right?) and has connected her love of physics and the natural world with her affinity for computer science through work at the intersection of AI and sustainability. Anna has loved competing with the women's ultimate frisbee team, performing at the Arbor with her student band, leading outdoor recreation trips with the Outdoor Center, and exploring every earth and energy related club Stanford has to offer. Spending her childhood on the East side of the country and the first part of her young adulthood on the West has led her to appreciate how much change can drive growth, and she cannot wait to meet the wonderful people at Camp this summer and continue to learn and grow alongside you all!
