Biosketch: Hi there! I'm Teddy, and I'm really excited for camp this summer! I worked at SSC after my freshman year in 2022, so it feels very full-circle for me to come back now in my final year. I grew up in Santa Monica, California and have a deep love for the ocean, surfing, swimming, running and pretty much anything that gets me into the California landscape– as well as sports including basketball, football, and tennis. I also love to write, read, and go for long walks (two years ago, on a leave of absence from school, I walked the Camino de Santiago from Portugal). At Stanford, I initially applied as a philosophy major, and then switched to psychology, which I think reflects my general interest in the human mind, creativity, and the big questions of life. I also like to write poetry, and have a longtime interest in meditation and different contemplative traditions, which I'd be happy to talk about with anyone at camp. Please don't hesitate to say hi, whether I'm leading a special shift, bussing your dishes, or just walking happily by the lake– I always enjoy meeting new people!
