Lo Grant

Hometown: Goshen, IN

Major: Psychology (+ Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity minor)

Three things I love to do at Stanford outside of class: Lay in hammocks during the night and listen to bugs, BIRDWATCH!!, weightlift every evening to calm down for the night.

I could talk all day about: Consciousness, what makes us human, the biological basis of personality and emotion, the stars, how cool evolution is, DINOSAURS, music as art, and whatever else you find on your mind!

I would love to connect with guests who work in fields related to: Psychology (specifically social and developmental psychology), sociology, the psychology behind bias, neurobiology

Biosketch: Lo is a sophomore returning for another summer of Chickarees counseling after an incredible 2024 season! Hailing from the small town of Goshen, Indiana, she first set foot on the West Coast during Stanford’s Admit Weekend—and now, it feels like home. From learning the art of cold plunges, to figuring out what the hype about avocado toast was, Lo has a adopted a great deal of enthusiasm for new perspectives and experiences. As a proud First-Generation and Low-Income minority student, she’s always open to talking about how her background has shaped her journey at Stanford. Whether you catch her around camp or during a quiet moment, Lo loves connecting, listening, and chatting about the things that matter to you and whatever thoughts you find yourself returning to.
