Ben Rosenfeld

Hometown: Portland, OR

Major: Data Science + American Studies Minor

Three things I love to do at Stanford outside of class: play tennis, go camping in the California wilderness, read the newspaper

I could talk all day about: avocados, chess, European soccer teams, my quarter abroad in Florence, the American education system, national parks, preventative exercises for knee injuries

I would love to connect with guests who work in fields related to: Data Science, Education, the Environment, Policy

Biosketch: Ben is a Junior from Portland, Oregon, where he was born and raised. He loves long runs, avocados, and puzzles. He often finds himself playing chess, and enjoys the struggles of improvement! He loves to backpack, camp, kayak, and generally spend time outdoors. He reads the newspaper every morning. Accompanied by his two sisters, he likes traveling and learning how to rock climb. On campus, he is involved with the outdoor department and is a Wilderness First Responder! He is working as a Teens counselor at camp this year, but loved his time at a guppis counselor last year. Ben tries to be a valued community member everywhere he goes, whether it's his synagogue, soccer team, fraternity, or being a frosh RA. He is so excited to work at camp this summer!
