Yining Zhang
Hometown: Colorado Springs, CO
Major: Biology and the Biomedical Sciences
Position: Kitchen
Three things I love to do at Stanford outside of class: Play the guitar, throw a frisbee around/being outside, and hang out with my favorite people
I could talk all day about: music, food, gossip, frisbee, photography, my life
I would love to connect with guests who work in fields related to: healthcare, public health, mental health advocacy, community-building, anything at the intersection of science and social impact
Biosketch: Yining loves anything that involves good music, good food, and good people. Most nights you can probably find her experimenting with new chord progressions on the guitar, crafting a late-night snack, and/or hanging out with friends.
She likes the kinds of conversations that somehow start as jokes and turn deep out of nowhere. At the same time, she’s equally happy talking about movies, music, or whatever random thing is currently stuck in her head.
A lot of what matters most to Yining comes down to connection and community. She really values spaces where people can relax, be themselves, and feel understood. She’s always excited to meet new people, hear different perspectives, and make memories out of the little things.
Although she can be spontaneous at times, it always makes for a good laugh or adventure.
