How can we use artificial intelligence to build safer systems for the airplanes that we fly? How do establish trust in decisions made by computers? Learn how cutting edge artificial intelligence techniques are being used to create the next generation of decision making systems.
Bio: Mykel Kochenderfer, ’03, MS ’03, is an associate professor of aeronautics and astronautics, and by courtesy, of computer science and senior fellow at HAI. He directs the Stanford Intelligent Systems Laboratory, conducting research on advanced algorithms and analytical methods to design robust decision making systems. His research to the development of the ACAS X aircraft collision avoidance system that became an international standard in 2018, and he is a third-generation pilot.
